We, the undersigned U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and residents, respectfully petition Vice President J.D. Vance to address concerns about democratic freedoms, electoral integrity, and the rule of law in Romania, to support free and fair elections, civil liberties, judicial independence, and due process, and to ensure that any legal proceedings involving Călin Georgescu are conducted transparently, impartially, and in accordance with Romanian law and internationally recognized standards.

We, the undersigned U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and residents, respectfully petition Vice President J.D. Vance to give urgent attention to concerns about democratic freedoms, electoral integrity, and the rule of law in Romania.

We are concerned about the erosion of democratic safeguards and the risk of authoritarian rule. We ask the Vice President and relevant U.S. institutions to support free and fair elections, civil liberties, judicial independence, and due process.

We also ask that any legal proceedings involving Călin Georgescu be conducted transparently, impartially, and in accordance with Romanian law and internationally recognized standards of due process.
